I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Chou and her staff. Dr. Chou was very professional and listened to my concerns. I was actually seen before my appointment time, which has never happened with any physician in the past. She is the best Podiatrist I’ve had since my previous Podiatrist retired and moved away. She is the most conscientious Podiatrist I’ve ever been treated by. I will continue seeing Dr. Chou.
I’m so thankful that my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Chou. She has everything that I look for in a specialist: she is personable, very knowledgeable, and practical.
She’s relatable as a person and understands her patient’s needs. Dr. Chou really knows her stuff and it shows! She quickly answered every question I had and provided answers in a non-medical way that I could understand. Finally, she offered affordable solutions to my foot pain that work with my active lifestyle.
Dr. Chou is professional, caring, thorough, knowledgeable, and attentive. She really takes the time to understand your symptoms and mechanics. I’m so happy I found Dr. Chou. I had knee pain, back pain, foot pain, and very poor mechanics. She fixed all of it. I highly recommend Dr. Chou!
My first visit with Dr. Chou was for an ulcer in my left foot. I immediately felt I was in good hands. She has a great manner about her. At the same time, you know she is a real professional. She took the time to properly examine me and provide the appropriate prescription – and follow up appointment.

Dr. Chou is a San Francisco transplant from Southern California. She fell in love with the Bay Area while attending UC Berkeley, then spent the next few years in cheerful exile while earning her podiatric medical degree in windy Chicago. Acceptance into the prestigious Kaiser North Bay Consortium residency program paved the way for her return in 2008.
Upon her graduation as Chief Resident three years later, Dr. Chou was faced with the dilemma of choosing a safe, reliable job working for someone else or bravely striking out on her own to create the practice of her dreams. After careful consideration, she chose to follow her dreams and has never looked back.
Dr. Chou is a multi-sport athlete and has run several marathons and was the sole female to complete an Ironman distance race on a day with rain, sleet, and hail. She is currently overcoming her fear of heights by learning to climb. A big part of why she loves living in San Francisco is because she can enjoy all the things she loves best: good weather, beautiful ocean views, open parkland, fantastic restaurants, and amazing people.
