Brianna Ortiz – Medical Receptionist
As the medical receptionist, Brianna is responsible for appointment scheduling, checking patients in and out, and maintaining all other front-desk operations. With nearly 5 years in customer service, she appreciates being able to apply these skills in creating a positive experience for each and every patient.
Brianna recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics. Upon moving to San Francisco in January of 2018, she absolutely fell in love with how much the city had to offer. In her free time, she likes to explore new food joints, delicious coffee shops, and beautiful sights around the city. She also enjoys running by the beach, hiking various trails in the Bay Area, and above all, spending evenings at Oracle Park.
Eva Phan – Medical Assistant
Eva graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in sociology and is currently pursuing her second degree in human biology. She’s a recent transplant from Michigan and excited to explore her new home in San Francisco. Working in the office will provide her valuable experience to reach her goal of attending medical school. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the food and wine scene in the Bay Area with her husband and hiking with her Newfoundland-Poodle, Millie.
Reza Gumihid – Virtual Scribe
Reza is a HIPAA-certified healthcare virtual assistant and works as Dr. Chou’s remote medical scribe. She diligently takes notes during your appointment so that Dr. Chou can spend more time focused on you and your care. Based in the Philippines, Reza has a degree in physical therapy and previously worked in pediatric and elderly rehabilitation before transitioning to medical transcription.
She has an optimistic outlook on life and considers everything as a blessing from above. In her free time, Reza loves to cook, bake, read and spend time with her family.
jessica cortes-romero – office manager
As the office manager, Jessica oversees the daily operations and ensures that your experience at the office is a positive one. She first began working with Dr. Chou as the receptionist. Over time, she learned the ins and outs of what makes the practice run smoothly.
Jessica graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in kinesiology and is happy to be near home as a Bay Area native. As she figures out her next steps for her post-baccalaureate education, she continues to be involved in the healthcare field as much as she can. In her free time, she loves to go dancing with friends, explore parks in the Bay Area, and take photos of her pets, Cilantro and Pinguino.
